Closed Heating in buildings or systems employed in processes are usually fully automatic and thermally efficient. These advantages are lost where there is a need for non-routine maintenance or remedial actions due to inadequate consideration of water treatment and testing.
Hot water systems for heating are normally defined by the pressure conditions at which they operate. Low pressure ( LPHW), Medium pressure ( MPHW ), High Pressure ( HPHW ). Using guidelines of BSRIA BG 50 ” Water treatment of Closed Heating and Cooling System ” and BS 8552 ” The sampling and monitoring of water from building services closed systems enables the systems to be effectively and economically operated negating any problems.
The water treatment chemicals should easily be dosed effectively and the water regularly sampled and analysed in a simple regime.
